LGBTQ Professional Development Training

Safe Zones are networks of individuals trained and committed to support the unique issues facing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth. This training is designed to assist participants in creating a positive atmosphere that is supportive, welcoming and inclusive for LGBTQ youth.

Safe Connections' Safe Zone training topics:
*An Introduction to Working with LGBTQ Youth
*Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Youth (TGNC)
*Creating Safer Schools
*Advocating for LGBTQ Youth Affected by Violence and Trauma


The mission of Safe Connections is to reduce the impact and incidence of relationship violence and sexual assault through education, crisis intervention, counseling and support services.
